NFVF Call for Sediba Directors Programme
South African directors who work predominantly in the film and television industry are invited by the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture, to participate in the Sediba Directors Programme 2016. The closing date for submission is 29th February 2016.
Sediba Directors Programme 2016, geared at offering focused training in directing will be delivered over a period of five months (one weekend per month). The programme, targeted at tier 3 directors (beginners) provides the knowledge and skill on how to direct as well as understanding the general directing value chain.
To be eligible to apply for the programme, all directors must:
Provide a detailed CV
Write a two page analysis on any film of their choice, and how they understand the role of the director in shaping the vision of that film
Explain in two page motivation how they feel that film directing is the right way to express their creativity
Provide a certified copy of identity document
Candidates need to be available for all the workshop sessions.
