Africa’s 1st Afrobeats Dance Movie, “The Dance Movie Project” produced by Alexander “Lexx” Ore is out in Cinemas starting September 9th, 2016 across Nigeria.

Pencil Sept. 9 on your calendar, The Dance Movie Project, latest film by the Lexxistalking Entertainment franchise, will premiere in select theaters across Nigeria, at the following participating theaters around the country: FilmHouse Cinemas (Surulere, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, etc.), Silverbird Cinemas (Festac, UYO, Abuja “SEC”), Ozone Cinemas (Yaba), and GDC Cinema (Ajah).

The Dance Movie Project (TDMP) is based on real life events by social entrepreneur and filmmaker Alexander Ore, is a comedy-drama about two brothers’ love for dance and their fight to save the life of their single mother suffering from diabetes. It is also a movie about love, hard work, nurturing the talents of youths and the proverbial need to tell the story of creative talents that abound in more ways than one, in Africa.

TDMP has received global acclaim for its entertaining narrative and rich dance performances orchestrated by Former Britain’s Got Talent stars Ezinne Asinugo and Soliat of CEO dancers, Celebrity Choreographer Donflexx, Afropop Star Joelschild, among others.

The move to a cinematic premiere The Dance Movie Project (TDMP) in Nigeria comes on the heels of a successful screening event that occurred during the first-ever Afrobeats weekend in New York City last month at the Helen Mills Theatre. According to TDMP Executive Producer, Alexander “Lexx” Ore the impetus to deploy TDMP in theaters for a special release was due to the excitement that the movie received among New Yorkers during the premiere event in July. “After the screening in New York, it struck me that the dance and diabetes themes the movie explores creates a distinct fondness for TDMP that cuts across multiple cultural and geographic lines –in the audience were New Yorkers and residents of New York who were born in other parts of the world, from Nigeria to the UK, South Africa, Poland and Dubai. I would love to see TDMP get into theaters in Africa, even if it’s only for an exclusive engagement,” said Alexander “Lexx” Ore.
