Viacom International Media Networks Africa takes award at Vision Critical 2016 EMEA Summit
Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Africa was awarded The Rookie of the Year Award at the Vision Critical 2016 EMEA Summit for its research submission, The Power of Plugged In. The award recognises companies that have within the last 12 months achieved proven results thanks to insight communities.
VIMN Africa has been leveraging its own insight communities - VIMNAtion in South Africa and MTVBaseFam in Nigeria - over the last year to drive content and marketing decisions that resonate with its consumers.
VIMN Africa insight communities are an online based network of people who provide the business with interactive and accurate feedback.
Alex Okosi, senior vice president and managing director, VIMN Africa, says; “An important part of our business is to ensure we deliver innovative content that enables us to deepen our connection with our audiences. In just twelve months, our insight community has empowered us to make more informed decisions with regards to editorial and marketing which has positively impacted our ratings, budgets and client relationships.”
Jake Orpen, CEO of Nudge (VIMN Africa’s implementation partner) congratulated VIMN Africa adding; “It has been remarkable what VIMN Africa has been able to achieve with VIMNAtion in a short period of time. This online community is already implementing best-practice across all aspects of a complex engagement platform.”
