The Angolan Association of Consumer Rights (AADIC) has announced that it will seek collective court action against pay-TV distributors Zap and DStv, for the exclusion of the TV channels of Portuguese broadcaster SIC. The position was expressed to Lusa by the AADIC vice president, Lourenco Texe.

He said he considers it to be a "flagrant violation of consumer law" for unilateral breach of contract, as the SIC Internacional Africa and SIC Noticias channels were part of a pay-TV package.

The remaining channels of the Portuguese broadcaster, SIC Mulher, SIC Radical, SIC Caras and SIC K, are still being normally transmitted in Angola.
