#AMAA2017: Ghana’s ‘Keteke’ and ‘Black Barbie’ nominated for 2017 African Movie Academy Awards

Ghana’s ‘Keteke’ and ‘Black Barbie’ have been nominated for the 2017 African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA). Peter Sedufia’s ‘Keteke’ received multiple nomination including Best Comedy and Best Actress in a Leading role for Lydia Forson.
Lydia Forson will contest for the nod against respected counterparts from across the continent such as Vero Tshanda, Lupita Nyong’o, Bimbo Akintola, Josette Bushell-Mingo, Rita Dominic, Khabonina Quebec, and Zimkhitha Nyoka.
Black Barbie is a Poetry animation by Comfort Arthur, that explores the filmmakers experience with skin bleaching products when growing up, is also nominated for Best Animation.
