The SABC appoints new CEO

 

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has appointed Madoda Mxakwe as its new group chief executive officer (GCEO) and Yolande van Biljon as its chief financial officer (CFO). The appointment of the GCEO is effective from 1 July 2018 and the CFO's appointment is effective from Monday, 25 June 2018.

 

Mxakwe brings to the SABC a wealth of great skills and expertise derived from senior executive positions in business, communications and public affairs in both the private and public sector at a national and global level. He has obtained an MA (Global Political Economy) from Sussex University in the UK, Executive Leadership Developments certificates from London Business School, and a PGD in Business Administration from Gordon Institute of Business School (GIBS). Mxakwe has worked for Nestle serving in different senior capacities, the last one being the country head responsible for Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland and Lesotho.
