Regulation & Policy

The Ghanaian National Communication Authority (NCA) has threatened to shut down with immediate effect radio stations operating without valid authorisation, as determined by the 2017 FM Broadcasting Audit. The audit found some stations to be in default and they were fined by the NCA, but certain of them were not satisfied and appealed at the Electronic Communications Tribunal (ECT) and the High Court against the NCA's decision.
