A Chinese delegation has visited Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) to explore information and content exchange and dissemination opportunities, Xinhua reports. It was led by Wu Bao'an, the head of the National Radio and Television Administration of China, who signed a partnership agreement with NBC director-general Stanley Similo in Windhoek.

The deal will strengthen relations between the two countries with regard to programmes and content exchange, personnel training as well as co-production.

Similo said NBC is lagging behind, which was compromising its output, especially in TV production but not so much so in radio. Similo welcomed the Chinese group and said that the exchange of content would strengthen the existing relationship, with both parties able to learn from each other.

Wu Bao'an said that China plans to send a team to record in Namibia in order to capture the beauty of the country, and a Namibian team has said that it would travel to China.
