Zap has delayed the price hike for its satellite services to 23 January and fibre services to 1 February, due to a delay in clearance from the Angolan Telecommunications Institute (Inacom), reports Jornal de Angola. In early January, the pay-TV provider sent SMS to customers communicating the increases, amounting to 9 percent for the satellite TV packages and 13 percent for the Fibra packages. According to Zap, the price updates will cover the effects of inflation and the devaluation of the local currency.
