In Madagascar, the authorities will switch to digital terrestrial television (DTT) on June 17, 2020. The information was recently provided by the Ministry of Communication. According to his information, the next six months will serve as a test for the national platform.

Launched in 2015, the Madagascan migration process to DTT has lagged considerably. One of the main problems resided in the establishment of the adequate legal framework for the national platform of DTT. The legal aspect occupied the Malagasy authorities for many months, who then had to manage the technical and communication aspects.

The Ministry of Communication has initiated, for several months, tours in all regions of the country to help the population to become familiar with DTT.
