ETHIOPIA - INFRASTRUCTURE ROLL-OUT GATHERS PACE BUT MONOPOLY REMAINS

Ethiopia should be one of Africa’s larger internet markets but progress has been very slow. The Government has recently re-affirmed its monopoly through state telco, ETC but will be offering a minority shareholding in it. In spite of this, the infrastructure roll-out is now reaching larger numbers of towns.
