MTN, Wavion and Balton - Uganda
Rwandan telecoms operator MTN Rwanda has selected Wavion and Balton Uganda for the deployment of a large scale Wi-Fi network in Kigali. The new network is based on Wavion WBS-2400 base stations, which will provide high speed wireless connectivity to SMEs and residential users in the capital. In the first phase of the project, around 100 base stations will be installed on rooftops and at MTN’s existing cellular sites.
