- Exim Bank is expecting to install new software system mid this year which will, among other things, allow its customers access to Internet and mobile phone banking in Tanzania. Exim Bank Chairman, Yogesh Manek, said in Dar es Salaam over the weekend that the new software will improve speed and efficiency in the bank's network of branches scattered across the country.

The report summarises the recent one-day workshop on "ICT Policy in Developing Countries". Abstracts, PowerPoint slides, and photographs for all eight presentations made are available at the same URL. The workshop was a meeting of the UK Development Studies Association study group on "Information, Technology and Development".
