* Libya Telecom & Technology and Huawei - Libya
Libya Telecom & Technology (LTT) has awarded Chinese equipment vendor Huawei Technologies a contract to provide it with a fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network. Huawei will roll out an FTTH network covering households in 800 apartment buildings on the Airport Road in Alzohor District, Tripoli, in the first phase, and expand the network coverage to other districts in the second phase. The deployment will enable LTT to offer more stable and more advanced broadband services for end users. The network will be the first commercial FTTH project in Libya, LTT said.
