* Kampala — Mr Revence Kalibwani the proprietor of Scyfy Technoloies, a local information and technology start-up is set to represent Uganda at the 2010 Annual Peer Awards in Finland. The awards are given to the world's best software developers in recognition of their innovative mobile telecommunication applications and products.
* Luanda — A higher School of Technology will be established in 2011, in Viana district, in Luanda, under an initiative of  the Sagrada Esperança Foundation. The announcement was made by the chairman of Sagrada Esperança Foundation, Afonso Van-Dunem Mbinda, during a visit paid by the secretary general of the ruling MPLA party, Juliao Mateus "Dino Matross" to the Angola's School of Technology (EFTA).
* Ugandans can expect to pay lower fees to acquire website identities when the continent's first domain name comes online next year, Ms Sophia Bekele, the President of DotConnect Africa has said.

* Nairobi — Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has launched an online payment service to enable electronic tourism take hold, as most bookings and payments are made on the internet.
