- MTN Group has announces the appointment of Ignatius Sehoole as Vice President for the South and East Africa (SEA) Region. He will take over from Mr Tim Lowry whose contract with MTN ended in June this year. Sehoole comes to the MTN Group from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he was Joint Deputy Chief Executive.

- Telkom South Africa's axed chief operations officer, Motlatsi Nzeku, has won his unfair dismissal case against the fixed-line operator. Telkom dismissed Mr Nzeku in February last year and also made an announcement openly criticising him for his underperformance and for behaviour that damaged the company's reputation.

- Former MD of Teleperformance South Africa, Gareth Pritchard, has been announced as the new interim CEO of BPeSA Western Cape. BPeSA Western Cape is a Section 21 company that promotes Cape Town and its surrounding areas as destinations for national and international investment in contact centres and business process outsourcing.

- President Goodluck Jonathan has reappointed pioneer CEO and Managing Director, Galaxy Backbone, Gerald Ilukwe, to forge ahead with the leadership of the government-owned technology services provider.
