Account Manager – Mobile Telecoms Solutions - South Africa
Working for an international mobile telecoms vendor. You will bring your experience of selling to mobile telecoms operators in South Africa and middle Africa to this thriving and growing organisation. Travel within the region, home based role. You must have a good track record of hitting targets. Large value $XXM dollar sales - complex hardware and software solutions.

Specialists in VAS, IN, Charging, VoIP solutions, amongst others.

Previous experience working for a blue chip vendor such as Oracle, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Comverse, Ericsson, NSN, Huawei, Logica, Microsoft or other telecoms vendors selling and managing major telco operators is desirable.

Commission structure second to none - accelerators and further incentives.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Experience of sales / business development / account management experience specifically within mobile telecoms (VAS, SMSC, MMSC, GSM, 3G, 4G, Wireless, VSAT etc. solutions)
Proven track record of meeting / exceeding quota and developing accounts.
Good contacts within the South African and middle African mobile telecoms operators
Contacts within one or more of - MTN, Cell C, Vodacom
Broad industry knowledge and understanding of product lifecycles and customer value propositions for products in the mobile industry
Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral)
Presentation and negotiation skills
Experienced in senior-level negotiations and relationship building (CTO, CEO, VP, Prog Dir etc.)
Motivated, results oriented, self-starter
Minimum BSc degree level
Willing and available to travel frequently within region

Key tasks and activities
Develop sales plans, pursue and close sales opportunities within Key Accounts and new prospects
Build and strengthen account relationships to maximize future business opportunities for South Africa and middle Africa.
Identify opportunities and mobilize the appropriate proposition sales and support resource to close the opportunity.
Manage communication and contact within the key account and between internal units to ensure customer satisfaction
Understand the clients future business plans and needs. Influence the client definition of requirements in order to maximise the opportunities for the account.
Work closely with Business Units to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
Provide accurate input and updates to weekly sales forecasts
Develop pipeline to meet business plans and provide accurate forecasts
Execute appropriate customer oriented marketing campaigns & events
