Uganda IT company, Computer Point has partnered with IBM, to provide computing and information technology services to companies that want to streamline their Information systems.

Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) has embarked on campaign to address major compliance issues in the area of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in a bid to enhance tax collection in the sector. Addressing members of the private sector, specifically from the ICT sector, RRA officials raised undeclared income, overstating purchase invoices and compliance with withholding obligations as the major problems to information and communication companies.

The police in Uganda will recruit over 2,000 scientists and information technology (IT) graduates to bolster the criminal investigations directorate (CID) to handle ballistics and cyber crime, the Inspector General of Police, Kale Kayihura, has said.

More than one year and a half after the creation of world digital library, Algeria followed the same steps but at Maghreb level; it has launched Sunday the Maghreb digital library in collaboration with the US Civilian Research & Development Foundation (CRDF).
