Tunisian regulator suspends Orange VoIP service

Orange Tunisie’s Livebox service has been suspended after the country’s telecoms regulator, the National Authority of Telecommunications of Tunisia (INT), ruled that VoIP services are prohibited. The move comes only weeks after Livebox launched its latest version.

An INT official told local news site that the dispute is over Orange’s routing telephony traffic ‘over the network of another operator [Tunisie Telecom] without a valid agreement.’ According to the regulator, it is working closely with both companies in order to reach a compromise.
