Two of sub-Saharan Africa's premier technology companies have formally launched their joint venture in SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions.

Twenty Third Century Systems Kenya Limited (TTCSK) has been formed by Harare-based Twenty Third Century Systems (TTCS), the largest SAP business solutions provider in Sub Saharan Africa, and Seven Seas Technologies Limited (SST), which is among East Africa's leading technology integration firms.

According to the TTCS Zimbabwe CEO, Ellman Chanakira, the launch of the joint venture marks a major milestone towards the two companies' strategic intent to increase their breadth and depth of solution offerings across Africa.

Indeed, the co-investment by the two leading Pan-African technology firms augurs well for regional cooperation especially in the area of SAP ERP solutions, which will be the joint venture's area of expertise. Each of the two parent companies has been successful in their own right. While TTCS boasts tremendous experience gained from undertaking different SAP implementation assignments on the continent, SST is renown for its expertise and successes in complex systems integration projects across various industry verticals in the East African region.

"Our mandate is to help organizations re-establish global competitiveness and thereby accelerate development initiatives in and outside Africa through interventions with both private and public entities", said Chanakira.
