Computer News - In Brief
- To increase compliance of motorists to the ongoing Online Vehicle Registration, the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) is demonstrating the exercise to local communities. The one-month exercise, which started on Monday, was rolled out in all the divisions of Kampala. Motorists were shown how to access the system using a computer connected to the Internet. The team will handle first time registration and validation for motorists who need to update their data to acquire a new log book, Sarah Banage said. In order to be served, a person must have a 10-digit tax identification number. The number can be acquired by visiting the URA website: ura.go.ug.
