Kenyan learners get mobile maths lessons
Nokia is piloting its mobile education application at ten schools in Kenya.
The application, used to deliver mathematics content for upper primary schools, has been successfully rolled out in several other countries, including South Africa, Nigeria and Tanzania.
A six-month trial project was launched this week at the Raila Odinga Educational Centre in Kibera and will be used in delivering mathematics content for learners in Standards 5 to 8. Content is accessed using a Nokia C6 mobile phone and can be shared with large groups on a TV monitor.
