Angola Telecom launches services in Chongoroi
Benguela - Chongorio municipality, central Benguela province, now has landline telephones and internet services of the state-owned firm of Angola Telecom, after the inauguration of the station by the Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, José Carvalho da Rocha.
Angop learnt that the station comprises an aerial for signal captation and a solar panel box.
The inauguration ceremony was preceded by the offering of a kit composed of a telephone and an ADSL modem to the municipal Administrator of Chongoroi, Francisco Miguel.
The Minister said that the act is part of the expansion of the Angolan Telecom services throughout the country.
In this visit, the Minister was accompanied by the State Secretary for Telecommunications, Aristides Safeka, and the deputy governor of Benguela for political and social affairs, Eliseu Epalanga.
