Orange Kenya has launched a new mobile data bundle of 20MB for KES 20. The bundle has a validity of seven days. Orange has also reduced the prices of two other mobile data bundles: the 50MB bundle drops from KES 100 to KES 50 and the 100MB bundle from KES 150 to KES 120. For the next three months, Orange will also reward its customers with a 100 percent bonus for every mobile data bundle they purchase, ranging from 20 MB to 5GB. This bonus data can only be used between 22:00hrs and 06:00hrs. In addition, customers can now purchase the Alcatel T-Pop Dual SIM handset for KES 5,999 and get a free 2GB data bundle.
The promotion coincides with the 'Orange Beat Ya Street' street dance competition, part of the company's 'Opportunity Changes With Orange' campaign. The three-month dance competition will start with regional auditions and dance competitions in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Thika. The finale will be staged in Nairobi on 28 September, with online voting for the winners. The winning team will receive KES 5 million in prize money and travel to South Africa in 2014 to participate in a global dance competition. Global brand experience agency VWV is managing the contest and associated promotions and marketing.
