First National Bank (FNB) and Sony Mobile have announced the availability of Xperia mobile devices. The Xperia devices have been available as part of FNB's 24-month deals for the past few weeks, hot on the heels of Sony's PlayStation 4 offering with the bank. Devices include the Xperia Z Ultra (R399 a month), Xperia Z1 (R375 a month) and Xperia SP (R199 a month).

"We are delighted to partner with an innovative bank such as FNB and hope that with this new offering we will bring premium smartphones to a broader market in a convenient and more accessible way," said Mark Fenzel, Sony Mobile Communications Sales Director Middle East and Africa.

The Z1 is the flagship phone of the lot, receiving praise thanks to its 20.7MP camera and premium design. The Z Ultra, on the other hand, is Sony's attempt at crafting a phablet, with an enormous 6.4-inch display.

The Xperia SP is Sony's mid-range effort, featuring a 1.7Ghz dual-core chip and 8MP camera.
