Internet – In Brief
- Trans-Sahara for IT and Communications, an IT systems integrator in Libya, has confirmed that it has launched as a business-focused internet service provider (ISP). The company commenced its ISP activities on 1 March 2014 under the ‘1st NET’ brand name, offering services including internet access at 50Mbps, dedicated leased lines, VPN data links and service level agreements (SLA). Trans-Sahara hopes to expand its ISP services in the near-future, extending connectivity to all major cities in Libya by the end of 2014. Other plans include the provision of international leased lines and hosting services.
