Telecoms – In Brief

-  Yozma Timeturns, which was granted a concession to operate within the Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC’s) wireless sector in July 2009 – but did not actually receive any frequencies until 2012 – has revealed plans to inaugurate its long-awaited mobile network in the second quarter of 2014. Agence Ecofin quotes acting director general Constant Mopanze as saying that the cellco’s launch is now in sight, after a multitude of legal and technical problems.
