Mauritius Telecom upgrades Alepo Billing and Customer Care Platform to Support Rapid Subscriber Growth

Telecoms

Tuesday, January 27, 2015, Austin, TX – Alepo, a provider of network and IT software solutions for global communications service providers, announced today that its longstanding customer Mauritius Telecom (MT) has successfully completed a significant system upgrade to Alepo Service Enabler (SE) 8, including Alepo’s AAA Infrastructure. As a result, MT is able to deliver more advanced and flexible data offers to its rapidly growing subscriber base while achieving a significant reduction in OPEX.

MT cited the need for real-time operations as a main driver of this upgrade. With Alepo SE 8, MT gains real-time capabilities, such as the ability to enforce fair use policies and to offer “Bandwidth on Demand” to subscribers, allowing them to purchase a temporary boost in bandwidth speed whenever they need it most. MT can also send automatic SMS and email messages to subscribers, such as low balance alerts. These capabilities can enhance the customer experience and add value to MT’s business.
