GTBank partners Zeepay to offer mobile money services
Technology Advanced Bank of the Year 2016 and “E-banking Services of the Year 2016 award winner, Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited has partnered with mobile financial services provider, Zeepay Ghana Limited, to provide customers and the general public with a convenient channel of sending and receiving funds from mobile network providers in Ghana.
The partnership enables subscribers to transfer and receive funds from the various telecommunication networks, and also cash out from their e-wallet at any of GTBank’s 34 branches nationwide.
By this arrangement, subscribers of the Zeepay service can link their bank accounts to their mobile e-wallets and load cash onto it to make transactions conveniently from their homes and offices, at any time and day.
A unique feature of the Zeepay service is the “tap n pay” feature which provides each subscriber with a free Near Field Communication (NFC) tag placed behind their mobile phones. The tag is linked to the Zeepay wallet hence payment can be made by simply placing the tag on the POS device.
International remittances can also be received straight onto the Zeepay wallets. Customers can move funds seamlessly from their bank accounts onto their wallets and vice versa thereby giving customers a break from having to visit the banking hall.
