Sacking of Icasa chairman moves a step closer
Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) Board Chairman Rubben Mohlaloga is expected to be sacked following his fraud conviction, reports News24 Wire. The Portfolio Committee on Communications decided on 27 March to remove him, but this decision will have to be adopted by the National Assembly first. Mohlaloga, who was appointed chairperson of Icasa in December 2017, was found guilty of fraud and money laundering in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court in January.
