T-Systems South Africa took home the prestigious ICT Award at the annual Vision 2030 Awards gala, held on 12 June at Emperor’s Palace.

The awards ceremony honours organisations, enterprises and individuals who demonstrate active alignment to the government’s Nine-Point Plan to boost economic growth and achieve the milestones set by the National Development Plan (NDP).

“We at T-Systems strive to be ‘in South Africa for South Africa’. This philosophy joins our commitment to going beyond compliance and ICT leadership to meet South Africa’s national priorities, and our decade-long history in bridging the ICT skills gaps in local communities, to form our mantra; our pledge,” said Dineo Molefe, T-Systems South Africa Managing Director.

“We are immensely proud to be singled out among our esteemed peers by Vision 2030 and its panel of judges, sponsors and partners, as a valued contributor to the National Development Plan through our Nation Building Initiative.”

“These are just a few of the more public ways T-Systems strives to contribute to the improvement and upliftment of South African lives, while driving the wave of digital transformation that will help make out country a recognised leader in ICT,” said Molefe.

“We are honoured with this award, proud of our legacy, and passionate about our nation’s people. We will continue to live up to our values and mantra, aligning our Nation Building Initiative with the National Development Plan to empower communities and businesses, create employment, and promote sustainable skills and economic development,” concludes Molefe.
