Valve launches new version of Steam Play for Linux users

South Africa's Valve has launched a new version of Steam Play for Linux users, reports Mybroadband. Steam Play was launched in 2010 as a way for Steam users to access Windows, Mac, and Linux versions of Steam games with a single purchase. A new beta version of Steam Play is now available which includes a modified distribution of Wine, called Proton, to provide compatibility with Windows game titles. Read more here.
