Liquid Telecom signs deal with Western Cape to expand free Wi-Fi

Liquid Telecom has signed a partnership with the provincial government to provide free Wi-Fi to more than 6.6 million residents in the Western Cape, reports CAJ News. The number of free, public hotspots in the region will increase from 178 to 1,600. This project is part of a ZAR 3 billion plan to provide broadband connectivity to government offices, libraries, schools and clinics.
