Following four years of comprehensive success in Cape Town the eCommerce Africa has followed the advancing markets outside of South Africa, seeing an unequivocal need for a purely East African event of the same type. The event is to be held from 31st October to 1st November at the Radisson Blu in Nairobi, Kenya and is already expected to connect professionals from all industries with established, innovative eCommerce partners.
Kinetic, the organisers of the event, are so confident the event will be a regular annual stalwart in East Africa they have announced a never-heard-of buy one get one free all-access-pass to the event this year to ensure the business community throughout East Africa come together to enable each other to reach a type of growth in online selling, mobile solution deployment and particularly innovative Fintech solutions, not bound by the regulatory influences found in more westernised countries.

Mission Critical Technologies Africa, co-located with AfricaCom 2019 - What will it take to deliver safety and security in the future city?
Co-located with AfricaCom, (12-14 November 2019), Mission Critical Technologies Africa is a dedicated conference stream that targets those involved in critical communications, and command & control sectors of working cities. It is also the only place on the African continent where mission critical technology users from public safety, transport, utilities and more can get together to gather the information needed to forge ahead with smart and safe city deployments, and also the opportunity to network with other like-minded professionals.
With the continent rapidly growing in numbers, embracing digital and the urgency to transform existing networks, infrastructure and even mindsets, this event is a must. Keynotes, panels discussions and a host of practical case studies will shed light on what it takes to be technology ready to deal with and prepare for more people, who will have more requirements for everyday living, not to mention the requirements for future capacity in critical communications and control rooms.
“Mission Critical Technologies Africa has grown from a marginal event to taking its rightful position in the mainstream,” commented Christopher Lycett, Conference Producer at Informa Tech, organiser of AfricaCom. “In 2019, particularly, we expect to welcome several thousand professionals working in this space over the three days at AfricaCom, as the millions of people urbanising cities across the continent on a daily basis, have triggered an urgent plan for future public safety, today.”
Four game changing technologies for safe city organisations that are sure to spark debate are:
- Cloud-based command and control
- Private LTE for mission critical communications
- Control room analytics
- Deployment of body-worn cameras in public safety organisations.
All will play a vital role in shaping the future safety of the habitats we live, work and play.
