GT to receive USD15 million worth of equipment from Alcatel Shanghai
Ghana’s national fixed line operator Ghana Telecom (GT) will receive USD15 million worth of equipment from Alcatel Shanghai Bell within the next two months, according to local news reports. The agreement comes in the wake of a recently renegotiated deal between the two countries. Alcatel Shanghai Bell’s vice president of West and Central Africa Richard Abensour told journalists that it would take a month to supply the equipment to GT. The agreement will enable the telco to kick-start its network rollout programme.
