* BUSINESS CONSULTANT – BURKINA-FASO
The company is seeking a Business Consultant for 1 month in Africa. The Ericsson customer in question has had independent consultants draw up a Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan. This BCP & DR plan covers the entire organisation which includes, the Fixed Line Network (Core, Radio and Transmission), Business Support Systems (BSS), Operational Support Systems the Processes & Organisation. The BCP and DR Plan have not been tested !!!. Customer Request: The customer would like Ericsson to perform an audit on the existing BCP and DR Plan and make recommendations. The audit should use BCP benchmarks, industry best practices and frameworks defined by BSI (British Standards Organisation), BCI (Business Continutiy Institute) and other reputable organisations. Role: The consultant should: evaluate the current BCP Plan; hold workshops and interview key personell about the BCP plan. The output of this service should be a detailed document of the audit, with recommendations fro improvement or change to the BCP & DR plan. Finally the consultant should conduct a presentation to the executive members of the operator. For more information please send your CV in word format.
* 3G TRANSMISSION NETWORK DESIGN CONSULTANT – SOUTH AFRICA
The Transmission/Transport consultant should be able to design experience in 3G/UMTS Transmision/Transport using ATM or IP networks, to start immediately, have design knowledge about 3G/UMTS nodes such as RNC, RXI, NodeB, preferably Ericsson products, be a Team player and contribute to the overall design of the 3G/UMTS Transmission/Transport, have fundamentals of 3G/HSDPA Technology.
* GSM ACADEMY - BSS O&M TRAINING FOR AFRICAN PROFESSIONALS
Starting October 2, 2006, TOP will provide a GSM curriculum for Expert Training on BSS Operation & Maintenance. The boot camp includes 3 months of lectures and hands-on labs and is completed by 6 months of apprenticeship at a European GSM network operator. This heavily sponsored program targets on African engineers / technicians to improve their job possibilities in their home countries.
