- Tunisia and South Korea signed last Wednesday in Seoul a memorandum of understanding in matters of information and communication technologies as part of the working visit of minister of communication technologies montassar ouali in South Korea. The agreement aims to boost bilateral co-operation and partnership between the private sector and the research and training centres in addition to the setting up of a working team entrusted with working out programmes of co-operation and ensuring their regular follow-up.

- The Intel Developer Forum saw the launch of the first Arabic desktop search solution. In collaboration with Intel, Egyptian software vendor Information Systems International Service has launched its new solution as part of a promotion in Egypt - bundled with an affordable PC as part of "Intel's Discover the PC Initiative". Plans to roll out this product to other selected Arabic speaking markets to lower-income communities who would not otherwise have access to technology, are under way, the entity said.
