The Canadian NGO Development Workshop (DW-Angola) launched an online library Wednesday. The library aims at improving the access to information on the development process of Angola and is part of DW-Angola’s 35th anniversary in the country.

The library will have three databases available for research, with emphasis on media information that give access to articles of Angolan newspapers published since January 2003.

The referred articles include themes related to poverty reduction and economy, informal market and micro finance, governing and decentralisation, elections, civic education, among other topics.

The second data base is made up of documents available for downloading, with a variety of articles published, relating to the country´s development.

The library will also have details of publications that include books, CD, Video and reports found in DW libraries. The online library will be managed by DW Policy and Research Unit.

The NGO DW works in Angola since 1981 in water and sanitation sectors, construction and rehabilitation of social infrastructures, reform on urban land, support to consolidation of peace and micro-finance services aimed at improving the life of families in the country.
