* AITEC has recruited Peter Redlinghuys as Group MD. Peter was previously head of African marketing for NCC Education and then Business Development Manager for Soft-Tech in Tanzania. AITEC has also appointed Kaburo Kobia in a dual role as Group Web Director and MD of AITEC Kenya. Kaburo worked previously in web design and marketing for 3 Mice and the Nation Group in Kenya and has been studying for the past year in the UK. She is returning to Kenya to take up her post.
* Mr. Francis. S. Dogo has been promoted to the position of Senior Director, Country Operations, of the Development Gateway Foundation. This is a new position created to reflect the Development Gateway’s focus on delivering Internet solutions in developing countries for effective aid coordination and government procurement, as well as other areas of high impact. Mr. Dogo, originally from Togo, holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelor of Commerce and Financial Sciences from the Institut Superieure de Commerce L. Cooremans in Brussels.
* South African telecommunications company Hymax SA has appointed Vanchasko Peters as human resource manager. Peters joins Hymax's Cape Town office after 17 years in HR at Woolworths distribution subsidiary, Universal Product Networks.
* Francis L. Davies, Executive Director Administration, Celtel Sierra Leone has retired.
