- The Federal Government said last week that about N1billion ($2.95 million) has been spent on the procurement of software and accessories for the ASSYCUDA machine which would be used to facilitate clearing and trade at the nation's ports as part of the on-going reforms.Making this disclosure last week in Abuja at the Stakeholders' Sensitisation Workshop on ASSYCUDA and Destination Inspection, Comptroller-General, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Jacob Gyang Buba said the software was developed and sold by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) which will carry the training programme for the officers of the NCS.
