WINTER SCHOOL IN LINUX AS A TOOL FOR SCIENCE

The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences is hosting a fully sponsored course (travel, board and lodging included) in the use of Free and Open Source applications and tools for scientific modelling from 11 July to 5 August.

AIMS invites South African lecturers and researchers in any of the mathematical sciences to apply. The course will include running a Linux Desktop, modelling with Octave and Gnuplot, and programming for scientists with Python.
