SANGONeTis looking to appoint a Senior Information Co-ordinator for PRODDER, a new web-based database of South African NGOs and development organisations.

The position will focus on the specification, development, content compilation and quality assurance of a web-based database of development organisations. It requires a highly driven individual with a thorough understanding of development issues to manage multi-stakeholder requirements, coupled with astute database management skills.

Requirements for this position include a Bachelor's degree in social sciences/ information-related field or equivalent experience; five years' relevant work experience; solid knowledge of the South African development sector and issues; thorough understanding of database design; experience in developing and testing structured content management databases; comprehensive knowledge of Windows applications; excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills; excellent report writing skills; fluency in English and a valid drivers' license.

Key competencies include initiative, energy and enthusiasm, planning and organisational skills, assertiveness, good judgement, thoroughness, ability to work under pressure and teamwork.
