Pan-African Business Communications Solutions providers, Accelon is partnering with Atmospace, a wireless Internet services vendor to provide broadband wireless internet connectivity to Nigerians in most of the country's commercial centres. Brand Manager of Accelon, Jude Abonu and Managing Director of Atmospace,

Mr. Kunle Nubi who held a joint press briefing in Abuja at the Abuja Sheraton Hotels and Towers venue, of the 39th Annual Accountancy Conference said the company's immediate objective was to make internet available to business men through the hot spots being provided in major locations. Already Atmospace has installed the Accelon VSAT at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Abuja International Airport, Murtala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja, and other major locations in Lagos including Silverbird Complex, Eko Meriden Hotel and Falomo shopping complex among others while a commercial launch of the services would come up in four weeks time. The service is sold by Amospace through scratch cards sold in units of 20, 30 and 60 minutes at various rates for holders of laptops. Each scratch inserted into a laptop immediately configures the machine within three minutes and creates internet access making it easy for travelers, business executives, academics, students and marketing personnel to access internet in all the areas with live spots without using telephone line as in a dial- up arrangement.
