- Nemesis has caught up with internet fraudsters in Lagos, as they were arrested and paraded before journalists yesterday, after duping a Briton, Miss Jane Haris 350 pounds sterling via the internet. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Israel Ajao, who paraded the fraudsters in Lagos, identified them as Messrs Mobalaji Abdullahi Ashimi, Akinwale Victor and Moshood Banjo. The police boss said the fraudsters used forged international bank draft of Bank of England to secure a computer from the Briton through the United Parcel Service (UPS) . Their arrest reportedly followed complaints lodged with the commissioner of police through direct telephone call by the Briton. When their business centres were searched, blank international bank draft of Bank of Ireland, blank Bankers Trust Company payable at Bankers Trust, New York, blank Bankers Trust Company cheque payable in New York, a list of 39 foreign nationals including their addresses, E-mail, Zip code and First Bank of Nigeria statement of account.

Fake Corporate Affairs Commission certificate of Registration was also recovered from them.
