ANGOLA'S NEXUS INVESTS USD12M IN NEW FIXED LINES
Angolan operator Nexus will invest 12 million dollars to enter the fixed line market. According to company President Rui Santos the network will offer a combination of fixed line and internet, with potential for calling at local, inter-urban and international levels.
The intention is to get 10,000 fixed line customers but the investment will give the company a capacity of 50,000 lines. It will also target 2,000 internet customers. The network will be fibre optic and will connect major towns in the interior of the country.
This new operator has come about through the merger of ISP Ebonet, Netangola and Telesel with finance from Banco de Poupança e Crédito and other financial groups.
