KENYA'S CCK FAILS TO NAME SNO - NO DATE SET FOR DECISION
Kenya's regulator, the Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) has postponed announcing the winner of the second national operator licence bid. The delay has been put down to the need to brief the newly appointed Minister on the tender procedure.
The tender was advertised last November and during the following month seven prospective bidders presented their pre-qualification proposals. Three bidders have reached the final selection phase following the CCK's evaluation of their technical capabilities.
