AFRICAN COTTON PRICES SITE LAUNCHED WITH ASSISTANCE FROM AID

 Launched in June by the American programme for assistance to agricultural business, Rates, CottonAfrica has laid out its ambition: to be the best market place for the buying and selling of cotton in Africa. CottonAfrica presents itself as:"a new, pro-active approach to regional business" and as the "best place to buy and sell cotton, textiles and accessories. The site was built by the RATES, a centre for Regional Trade Expansion Support based in Nairobi and founded by AID. RATES would like to see the expansion of African trade in cotton globally.
