AST GETS COMPUTER MANAGEMENT CONTRACT FOR PHARMACEUTICALS IN MOZAMBIQUE

AST has been awarded a contract by John Snow to work for the Central de Medicamentos e Artigos Medicos (CMAM) of the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Mozambique with funding from the USAID in Mozambique (USAID/Mozambique). The contract is to supply and implement a computerised integrated management information system, for the supply and distribution of pharmaceutical and medical Supplies.

Phase one of the contract is worth in excess of USD636 500. The computerised integrated management information system will improve CMAM's ability to identify requirements, procure, and distribute medicines and other medical supplies through the MOH's supply chain within Mozambique.

In addition, the system will provide CMAM with an integrated management information system, which will allow the organisation to monitor and account for all medical supplies purchased and supplied through CMAM.
