The RFS Steering Committee met and considered the bids received from various potential Regional Carriers. It was agreed that two of the bidders would be given two weeks to answer a number of clarification questions, and after that a recommendation would be made to the ISPAs in the six initial countries as to which Carrier looks to us to be most suitable to implement regional peering.

Most of the members of the AFIX-TX (African IXP Task Force) were present, including the team leader, Alan Levin. Good progress was made in terms of launching this team on its way.

AfrISPA held several meetings and agreed on the future relationship between AfrISPA and PCH, as well as made significant progress on the relationship bewteen AfrISPA and AfNOG, with good discussions on areas of cooperation.
