IBM GROUP RE-LAUNCHES EAST AFRICA OPERATIONS

IBM, one of the worlds leading software and hardware makers has re-launched its operations in Kenya after eight years absence. The corporation’s Vice President for Europe, Middle East and Africa (MEA) Julian David said that the re-launch was because of the promising economic outlook and Kenya’s improved rate of technological adoption.

"Our strategy is to deliver value proposition to our customers by making sure that high quality IBM products are readily available to consumers," said David. David explained that lack of market penetration in Kenya, which led to the loss of its market share to the competition, was a result of the corporation’s transformation into an e-business solutions provider that was not followed through in the East Africa market.
